Manufacturing Manager
Audinate is recruiting a Manufacturing Manager to coordinate all aspects of the manufacture of its products. This role will have responsibility for day-to-day management of our onshore and China-based contract manufacturing partners to ensure that all of Audinate’s hardware products are manufactured and delivered on time, to specification and in a cost effective manner.
The position is full-time and is based in our Sydney office.
Responsibilities
- Drive down costs by seeking efficiencies and cost savings.
- Manage materials procurement, stock control, production scheduling and planning. Build and develop business partnerships with suppliers.
- Introduce systems and controls to improve efficiencies, performance monitoring and product quality appropriate to the needs of the business.
- Resolve manufacturing issues that arise.
- Manage the introduction of new products into manufacture.
- Manage and implement ECOs including change management requirements of our key customers.
- Ensure product design and BOM information in Audinate’s Arena PLM system is well-managed, complete and up to date.
Requirements
- At least 10 years in a manufacturing management role, with extensive experience of working with offshore manufacturers.
- Experience in manufacture of electronic products.
- Experience with MRP systems and manufacturing processes within an ISO 9001 framework.
- Strong problem solving skills with a practical application.
- Strong experience in supply chain management (including expediting, lead time reduction, inventory management, packaging and shipping)
- Engineering technical skills and knowledge across a broad spectrum of disciplines appropriate to Audinate’s product range
- Sound business judgement, prioritizing and decision making
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Planning, organizing and expediting skills
- Chinese language skills are desirable
- Demonstrated thoroughness and attention to detail
- Self motivated and able to work autonomously
- Team player, with good interpersonal skills
- Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing preferred

Release Engineer
Audinate is seeking an experienced Release Engineer to join our Engineering team. The position is full-time and is based in our Sydney office.
Release Engineering plays an integral role in implementing and executing product release processes. The role supports Audinate’s engineering development by automating builds, automating regression testing, developing and maintaining building and monitoring tools used in software development, and coordinating and pushing new releases to the Product Delivery team. A Release Engineer establishes procedures and develops tools that are used by both the Engineering and Product Delivery teams. As a Release Engineer you'll use your strong technical ability to drive successful releases across several different product platforms. You'll work hard to ensure that Audinate’s products are successfully delivered with a repeatable and reliable process.
Responsibilities
- Own, manage and improve our engineering release process
- Support and improve our tools for continuous build, automated regression testing and engineering release management
- Own and continue to develop our automated test harness
- Build and maintain tools required to execute each release
- Work closely with the Product Delivery team to ensure seamless transfer of each release, ensuring all components and documentation are correctly delivered
- Other general software development as required
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science
- At least 5 years experience in software engineering, release engineering, and/or configuration management
- Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems: mercurial and CVS experience highly desired
- Skill with one or more scripting languages, Python experience highly desired
- Strong experience with automated test environments
- Experience with build management and continuous integration tools
- Experience automating release and build processes

Software Engineer (Systems)
Audinate is looking for an experienced software engineer to join our systems engineering team. The position is full time and based in our Sydney office.
The Systems Engineering team is responsible for the continued development and maintenance of the core capabilities within our products. Our products cover a wide range of platforms, so a Systems Software Engineer at Audinate is someone who is able to see the big picture, yet able to work down in the detail and be able to make the right decision when it counts. You will know when to reach out to your colleagues. You won't care which platform you are working with (Windows, Mac, Linux, Embedded, Android, iOS...) only that you are using the best tools and methods for the task at hand. You will be able to turn a high level feature description into a robust implementation, and have strong background implementing network protocols. You will be comfortable coming into a team that is responsible for the continued development of a mature architecture. You will care about our customers, about their customers and how they interact with our products. You will work to ensure that each software release is successfully received by our customers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development activities of the software engineering team
- Work closely with the embedded software and hardware teams
- Define detailed technical requirements from product and feature description documentation
- Work closely with the release engineering team to ensure seamless transfer of each release
- Prepare relevant technical documentation
- Provide customer technical support as required
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 7 - 10 years experience in software engineering
- Strong IP networking experience
- Core audio and/or WDM experience highly desirable
- C/C++, Java, Python
- Experience with installers and software packaging tools
- Strong experience with source code version control systems: mercurial highly desired
- Experience with automated test
- Experience in an agile development team
