Dante Core Module
The Dante Core Module (DCM) is an FPGA based hardware redundant implementation of Dante networking technology. It offers up to 64x64 bi directional media channels.
Unlike failover redundancy, the full redundancy in DCM enables glitch free switching between the primary and secondary networks. This form of redundancy is superior to fail over redundancy offered by other audio networking protocols. Dante is the only commercially available standards based protocol in the industry to offer glitch free redundancy.
Benefits:
- Complete audio networking solution
- Fully redundant glitch free performance
- Supports both 1Gbps and 100Mbps speeds
- Easy to use routing and configuration
- AVB Ready
- Self Discovery and Auto-configuration of IP addresses
- Microprocessor available to add OEM specific application software for managing front panel displays, codec
components and relay management via an SPI interface. - Fast time to market for OEMs
- Ultra low latency
- Channel support from 8x8 up to 64x64 bi-directional channels
Applications:
- Recording live events
- Networked DSP units
- Power amplifiers
- Break-out / break-in boxes
- Digital audio recording
- Digital snakes
- Voice Alarm systems
- Powered loudspeakers
- Microphone
- Network Pre-Amps
- Microphone interface
- MI Interface boxes
