David Myers, Chief Executive Officer

David is the founding CEO of Audinate. He has a broad range of experience in management and product delivery for multi-media and internet products and services. He has contributed to the development and commercial exploitation of leading-edge technologies throughout his career. He has built and managed goal-orientated teams to deliver products to customers in start-up and large company environments.

He has been involved with Audinate since working on spin-out prospects in his previous role as a Business Development Associate at National ICT Australia (NICTA). Prior to this he was a co-founder and founding VP of Engineering at Dilithium Networks. His earlier career was mainly in British Telecommunications plc (BT), where he started as a VLSI designer. In his final role as Broadband Delivery Manager he was responsible for developing the systems needed to launch commercial broadband internet products based on ADSL in the UK.

David has an MA in Natural and Electrical Sciences from Cambridge University, UK and an MSc in Microelectronics from Edinburgh University, UK. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Aidan Williams, Chief Technology Officer

Aidan Williams is the founding CTO of Audinate, which he joined from National ICT Australia (NICTA), where he was a principal research engineer and proposed the Digital Audio Networking project that span out of NICTA to become Audinate.

Prior to joining NICTA, Aidan was at the Motorola Australian Research Centre where he worked in the areas of zeroconf IP networking, IPv6, reliable multicast, mobile ad hoc networking and residential gateways. Whilst at Motorola he regularly attended IETF standards meetings and organised and chaired an IETF BoF on zero-configuration routers. He is a contributing author to a number of IETF documents. He is an inventor on nine filed patents in the area of IP Networking.

Before embarking on an R&D career, he built extensive skills in computer networking and security, operating systems, and software development through several years of hands-on experience managing large networks, critical computer systems, and network security for a large university campus.

Aidan has a BSc in Computer Science, and a BEng (Hons I) in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia.

Lance Korthals, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Lance Korthals has acted as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Audinate since January 2007. He is a veteran US-based senior executive with extensive experience in marketing, sales and market development in large corporate and small entrepreneurial companies. He has run his own consultancy company since 1996. Prior to this, as the President and co-founder of Spectral Inc, a start-up manufacturer of PC-based digital audio production software and hardware, he raised capital, dramatically increased sales and market presence, and managed its merger with a public company.

As the Vice President of Market Development for JBL Professional, a division of Harman International Industries Inc, a Fortune 500 Company, Lance developed and led the Mergers and Acquisition program, reorganized the engineering department, and initiated a product development project that became the company's largest-ever revenue producer. He ran Marketing and Sales at Lexicon and at dbx, both well known manufacturers of professional and consumer digital audio equipment, where he rebuilt those departments and designed and executed many successful product development strategies that led to several industry-standard products.

Chris Ware, Vice President of Engineering

Chris joined Audinate as Vice President of Engineering from the Motorola Advanced Technology and Strategy Group in Chicago, USA, where he was a Principal Engineer leading a team of 15 engineers to pilot the development of advanced Cognitive Radio Systems for high reliability applications in key broadband public safety, and other Motorola wireless broadband markets.

Chris has strong experience leading R&D teams from the initial architecture and definition phases through the product prototyping and development process. He represented Motorola in the IEEE 802.11 (WLAN), and 802.22 (WRAN) Standards bodies. He also played a significant role in the regulatory process through the development of spectrum strategy and policy positions while representing Motorola in engagements before the FCC. Prior to moving to the USA he worked on WLAN projects at Motorola.s Sydney Research Laboratories. He has also worked as a research engineer at the Telecommunications and Information Technology Research Institute (TITR) in Wollongong, and as a Communications Engineer for Alcatel. Chris has over 25 patents issued and pending. His PhD, "Unfairness and Capture Behavior in IEEE 802.11 Networks", was undertaken at the University of Wollongong, Australia, as were his BSc (Physics) and BE (Electrical Engineering) degrees.
