Audinate®, creator of the industry-leading media networking technology Dante™, has announced the immediate worldwide availability of its new Dante Via™ software. Having already revolutionized the delivery of audio-over-IP with its widely adopted Dante networking solution, Audinate now makes it even easier for end-users, integrators, consultants and sound engineers across a wide range of markets to experience the advantages of Dante-based networking.
The remote-production community is moving toward the digital networking paradigm due to its cost-effectiveness and ease of use. NEP, provider of mobile teleproduction services critical to the delivery of live sports and entertainment events throughout the United States. is now taking Dante and Forusrite Rednet on board its new SSCBS truck.
The RU-LB4 is a high quality line-level bi-directional Dante network interface. The RU-LB4 converts four line-level audio sources to Dante network channels, and four Dante network audio signals to balanced line level.
The line level inputs accept unbalanced or balanced signals. Line-level outputs are balanced. The front panel features signal LEDs that indicate audio presence for each of the received network signal channels and a gain trimmer with an associated Dual-LED VU meter for each audio input.
Balanced +4 dBu audio levels correspond to a network digital audio level of -18 dBFS. The noise floor is better than 80 dB below operating level.
The RU-LB4 is also available in a PoE version (RU-LB4P). If PoE power and an external 24 Vdc supply are both feeding an RU-LB4P, the unit will run from the external supply and will seamlessly switch over to PoE power upon loss of the external supply.
