Dante Training at NAMM 2019 - Anaheim, CA

On January 24th, and again on January 25th, Audinate will be hosting Dante audio networking training at the Hilton Anaheim for all experience levels.

Date: January 24 & 25, 2019 (classes repeat)
Time: 8:30 - 10:30 am: Introductory Networked Audio Applications

10:30 am - noon: Level 1 Dante Certification Training

1:30 - 5:00 pm: Level 2 Dante Certification Training (Hands-on)

Parking: Parking will be unavailable at the Hilton. Below is a parking guide from NAMM's website

Angel Stadium ($14 per day, cash only) – Located just 2 miles from The NAMM Show, parking is available at the Angel Stadium at $14 per day on every show day, located at 2000 E. Gene Autry Way. This is a cash-only transaction and no overnight parking is allowed. Free shuttles are provided to and from The NAMM Show.

Anaheim GardenWalk ($16 per day, cash and card accepted) – Located at 400 West Disney Way, across the street from NAMM. No overnight parking allowed. Free shuttles are provided to and from The NAMM Show. Drop off will be at the Transit Plaza.

Disney's Toy Story Lot ($16 per day, Thursday only, cash and card accepted) – The Disney Toy Story lot, located at 300 West Katella Avenue, will be open to NAMM attendees on Thursday, January 24, ONLY. No overnight parking is allowed.

CC North Parking Structure ($16 per day, cash and card accepted) –As a NAMM exhibitor or buying member, an extra 1,350 parking spaces have been added as a result of the new Anaheim Convention Center North building opening. Located in the parking garage next to the Hilton Anaheim hotel, these spots are available to blue and red badge holders only. Get there early as they do sell out quickly. Please enter through Katella Avenue, not the main entrance of the hotel. There are four other NAMM Member Preferred parking lots on site: car park 1, 4, 5 and 6. Please view The NAMM Show parking map for locations and more information as well as the full listing of all Convention Center parking lots.

A NAMM Badge is not required to attend Dante training at NAMM Show 2019. However, if you are interested in attending the NAMM 2019 exhibition, you will receive information on applying for a badge after you register for Dante training.


Introductory Networked Audio Applications

Note: This class has reached capacity for both January 24 and 25.

Time: 8:30 - 10:30 am (both days)

This 2-hour course is recommended for those people who are brand new to audio networking or who are unsure if they should delve into a full Dante Certification course. This course will useful for individuals whose audio experience has primarily been with analog hardware and/or computer-based consumer/prosumer audio applications using USB, Firewire, and/or Thunderbolt interfaces.

Attending this session will provide an understanding of digital audio, Dante audio networking and it’s use and real world applications in today’s audio systems

Level 1 Dante Certification Training

Time: 10:30 am - noon (both days)

This 90-minute course is part of the full Dante Certification Program, a multi-level training program offered by Audinate. It is designed to provide a useful background in audio networking for audio professionals, and does not assume any previous background in computer networking.

Level 1 is an introductory course for users who are new to networking. This session provides a foundation in audio and networking concepts and may be all that is required to assemble and operate a small, stand-alone Dante audio system. To complete Level 1 Certification, an online test must be passed after completing this course.

This course is part of the full Dante Certification Program, a multi-level training program offered by Audinate. It is designed for intermediate Dante users, and should only be taken once Level 1 has been completed. To complete Level 2 Certification, you must pass an online skills test and a knowledge test.

Due to popular demand, Audinate has designed a “hands-on” experience of its popular Level 2 certification courses. This hands-on experience will allow attendees to have a synchronous practical experience with Dante as they are learning basic Dante concepts. These training sessions will begin with an introduction and demonstration of Dante AVIO adapters, then followed by Dante Certification Level 2 – hands-on experience.
