Leading Digital Audio Studio Manufacturer Adopts Dante
Amsterdam- 6 September, 2012– Audinate, the inventor of the award winning digital media technology Dante™, and DHD Audio, a premier manufacturer of digital audio studio technology for professional radio and TV broadcasting studios, announced today the introduction of DHD’s new 52/XC Dante™ IP Audio Interface with integrated Dante networking technology.
Founded in Germany in 1996, DHD develops and manufactures digital audio studio technology for professional applications in radio and TV broadcasting studios. Their products are highly modular mixing consoles and routers used throughout the broadcast industry.
DHD’s new 52/XC Dante™ IP Audio Interface distributes audio signals from a DHD console to any other Dante-enabled DHD device, third-party device, PC or Mac. This will allow monitoring, talkback and connection of remote facilities to the studio via the network, making broadcast installations much more flexible. With a Dante-enabled DHD routing matrix, one can create talkback systems as well as complex On-Air switching systems.

Joerg M. Deubner CEO of DHD says, “We are really satisfied with the Audinate solution. The Dante networking technology provides what we were looking for: a high-performance, reliable and field-tested Audio-over-IP system.”
Audinate is leading the way networks are connected by transporting high-quality media over standard IT networks. Its Dante products deliver a no-hassle, self-configuring, true plug-and-play digital audio network that uses standard Internet Protocols. Dante offers a market leading solution today, while taking the risk out of future developments by providing a migration path to upgrade to new standards such as IEEE Audio Video Bridging (“AVB”).
Lee Ellison Audinate’s CEO says, “The broadcast market is rapidly adopting the Dante solution as the industry moves to audio over IP networking technology. Audinate offers a proven next generation networking solution built on standards. Audinate delivers a robust working solution while also providing a migration path to evolving standards like AVB.” Ellison adds “We are pleased that DHD can offer a powerful choice to the radio and TV broadcast industry, who prefer the flexibility and reliability of Dante as the network technology.”
