The Gravesend Inn is an annual high tech, interactive haunted attraction in downtown Brooklyn, produced by City Tech’s Theatreworks performing group and the Entertainment Technology department. The Gravesend Inn presents a unique teaching opportunity, as it designed by professional faculty members and assembled and operated each year by students. Over more than a decade, thousands of attendees–while unaware–actually are in control the entire attraction. Effects are hidden in detailed scenery and props throughout the sprawling, multi-floor attraction, and sensors are monitored and effects are controlled over a sophisticated, managed network and industry-standard control systems.
